Dear Patients and Community,

Our community acupuncture shifts are closed at this time, due to a medical emergency (non-COVID) in Dr. Swogger's family.  We anticipate a February re-opening.  The following acupuncture clinics are open and recommended:

Our clinic - there are still $65 private treatments available with Allen Liu, L.Ac on Thursdays from 12 to 4.

Emperor's College - the first visit is free; follow-ups are $48, and visits last two hours. Patients are treated by students under the supervision of licensed acupuncturists.

Costa Acupuncture - on Venice in West LA

Center Point Community Acupuncture - in North Hollywood

Long Beach Community Acupuncture - Long Beach

When we re-open the following information is applicable:

First, if you are a new patient: welcome! Go to "Your First Visit and After" to learn more.  Please also continue to read this page, which contains important information regarding our treatment during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Due to the present conditions we must modify our business model in order to serve our community safely and in order to survive. To follow state, county and city policies we must change both the way in which we treat patients, and the amount we charge to cover expenses.

In a nutshell: We will have only three patients in the space at a time and we must raise the price.  What we will continue to offer is an effective acupuncture treatment at one of the lowest price points in the city.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • We have no staff to answer phones. You can text us at 310-985-0554 and we may respond during one of your open shifts. We do not offer free consultations, or speak about medical conditions outside the formal treatment setting.  The best way to reach us... is to book and come in.
  • We cannot/will not treat patients with any covid-19, common cold, or flu symptoms. If you have cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, conjunctivitis or suspect that you may be fighting a virus please do not book or enter the space. If you require herbs for these conditions, you may send someone to pick them up for you. Text us in advance (or call, but texting is preferred) so that we can make arrangements to meet them out front.
  • The number of patients seen will be three per hour.
  • All patients will be more than 6 feet apart, properly masked during the entire treatment, and seated in chairs that have been properly disinfected.  There will be only three active chairs, as opposed to the six we had previously.
  • No blankets, pillows, rolls, etc will be allowed either from the outside or offered by the clinic.  Please wear enough clothing to be warm, but do wear clothing that allows for lower legs and arms to be treated.
  • Keep personal belongings to a minimum in the space.
  • The front desk can handle transactions for herbs or donations. We no longer book at the front desk. This is at the request of the city to reduce interaction.
  • No facial treatments that require a patient's mask to be adjusted.
  • Essential treatments only at this time. We are not allowed to treat for preventative reasons, cosmetic reasons, for a boost in athletic performance, etc. We can treat pain, and issues that are negatively affecting quality of life/activities of daily life. As the pandemic slows and regulations change, we will be able to resume all types of treatments.
  • We have equipped the bathroom with a hands-free sink and soap dispenser. We have hand-sanitizer available for use by all.
  • All visits must be booked and paid for in advance using Schedulicity. Do this using the "Book Now/Schedule Now" buttons located across this site. We no longer book or take pay in person, except for herb purchases, which require a credit card or exact change.  We apologize if this means you are unable to book.
  • Texting is the best way to reach us. We do not answer the phone during shifts (to reduce noise in our small space), nor do we have staff to answer the phones between shifts. If you have questions of a medical nature, you will have to book and come in to ask them. We don't do phone consults. Acupuncture can assist with most issues.

Pacific Coast Community Acupuncture is a nonprofit public charity (501C(3) Tax-Exempt), staffed by fully licensed professionals, and dedicated to bringing low cost medicine to Culver City and Los Angeles County.  We give away hundreds of treatments each year to kids from Children's Hospital, to patients from Being Alive Los Angeles, and others. We expect to give away hundreds of free treatments this year, and thousands of low cost treatments.

We are a public charity reliant upon volunteers and donations to remain open.  Without volunteer hours PCCA could not keep its doors open.  Please help us continue this service by donating either time or money.  Even small amounts help.

Whenever you shop Amazon, use the link below and a percentage of the sale will be donated to PCCA. It's the same Amazon you know and love, the prices, the products, Prime, etc. but you will be supporting us as well! You can also shop this way by simply typing smile.amazon.com in your browser, and selecting us as your charity of choice.
Thank you for your support!
