Offering Community Acupuncture and Private Sessions!
Now offering private sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays from 230 - 7pm on an appointment basis only (no walk-ins). These sessions will be on a table, and may include acupuncture, cupping, far infra-red heat, electroacupuncture or gua sha depending on the condition treated. The cost will vary: $25 for 15 minutes, $45 for 30 minutes, $80 for 50 minutes respectively. We can also discuss your supplements, medical questions, nutrition, exercise routines, etc.
Community acupuncture will continue as well, of course!
Pacific Coast Community Acupuncture is a nonprofit corporation (501C(3) Tax-Exempt), staffed by fully licensed professionals, and dedicated to bringing low cost medicine to Culver City and Los Angeles County. We offer effective, affordable care in a comfortable setting; a setting that gets back to the roots of how acupuncture is practiced in China: several times a week, in a community room. Prices are low so that you can afford to come get acupuncture frequently enough to see real results.
Why The Low Price? And How Does The Scale Of $15-35 Work?
Why? We want everybody to be able to afford acupuncture. At the standard rates in Los Angeles, a course of treatment for your back pain is often more than a rent or a mortgage payment, but not with us... We offer a rate that allows you to get in and get treated as often as you need to to get well.
How does the scale work? Everyone gets the same level of care, but not everyone has the same resources. You pick the price between $15 and $35, and no matter which price you choose, you get the same quality of care. If you can afford $15, then pay that. If you can afford more, then pay that. If you are in acute pain, and need acupuncture daily, the $15 rate makes it much easier to afford care, and $15 is less than many co-pays for insurance. We don't check income, and we simply trust that our patients know what is best for them in terms of price. Those who do pay more allow us to give away treatments to patients who come to us from other nonprofits.
We are able to offer this scale because the founders and other staff members volunteer many of their hours.
*There is a $10 fee added to the price for the first visit only (to cover paperwork, administrative, and other costs).*
Why wouldn't I just pay $15 every time then? Good question! We encourage just paying $15! But, if you have the resources, and want to make it possible for us to keep this center going, then please consider giving more if you can. As a result of some people generously paying more than $15 a treatment, we were able to GIVE AWAY 400 treatments in 2016!
In fact, if you want to help us continue to thrive, please consider donating. All donations are tax deductible.
